The Tribe is a free online community for people who want to belong somewhere when the future feels uncertain. It is new and it is small. This page gives you the plain facts, what is true today and what is not yet, and how to reach us.

What is true today, and what is not yet
We would rather you write that we are small than write something bigger that is not true. So, plainly:
- The Tribe is days old. The Triber count above is read live from our database, and it is small.
- Most of the directories (clubs, jobs, volunteering, sanctuaries, events) are empty or nearly empty. They are ready for the first people to fill them.
- We have no staff, no office and no investors. We have not held an in-person event yet.
- What does exist today: free tools anyone can use without joining (see Free tools), guides in the Dispatches, and the numbers on loneliness, work and worry, each with its source.
If you quote a figure from us, please take it from Transparency or the Glass Ledger on the day you write, because it changes.
What The Tribe is not
- Not a casual dating app. The matchmaking door is for people who want marriage and nothing else.
- Not religious and not a movement with a leader to follow. There are no gurus and no secrets, and anyone can leave at any time. What we believe
- Not advertising-funded, and not a business that sells its members' data.
About the founder
The founder stays anonymous by choice, so we cannot offer a name, a photo or an on-camera interview. We are glad to answer questions in writing, by email, and to explain any decision on the record as "the founder".
How to reach us
Email admin@thetribe.cloud and put the word Press in the subject line. Tell us your deadline. We usually reply within a few days; if your deadline is sooner, say so and we will try.
Name and logo
Please write the name as The Tribe, with a capital T on both words, and call members Tribers. You are welcome to use our mark and our standard image to illustrate a story about us:

Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse, partner with or sponsor anyone. We do not have any partners yet.
