Community guidelines

The Tribe is a place to belong: built on respect, honesty, and healthy relationships. These are the rules everyone agrees to by taking part. They are numbered so that when a moderator removes something or reviews an appeal, they can point to exactly which rule applied. Breaking them can lead to content removal, suspension, or removal from The Tribe.
The rules
- Be 18+ and be real. The Tribe is an adults-only community. One account per person, an accurate date of birth, and honest information about who you are. No impersonating anyone else.
- Marriage and serious relationships only. No hookups. The marriage door is for people seeking marriage or a serious, committed relationship. Casual or hookup-seeking behaviour, and any sexual solicitation, are not allowed anywhere on The Tribe.
- Treat people with respect. No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, hate speech, or demeaning people for who they are (including race, religion, nationality, gender, disability, or background). Disagree kindly.
- Protect the vulnerable, and be honest about support. The support door is peer kindness, not professional care. We are not therapists or a crisis service. Never give dangerous advice or exploit someone who is struggling. If someone is in danger, point them to real crisis resources.
- Zero tolerance for exploitation or content involving minors. Any sexual content involving minors, grooming, or exploitation is banned outright, removed, preserved, and reported to the authorities. There are no second chances here.
- No spam or scams. No unsolicited advertising, mass messaging, phishing, pyramid or investment schemes, or misleading requests for money. Don’t ask other members for money under false pretences.
- Be authentic. No fakery. No fake accounts, sockpuppets, bots posing as people, coordinated manipulation, or astroturfing. Genuine voices only.
- Respect other people’s privacy. Don’t post someone else’s private information (doxxing) or share photos or messages of others without their consent.
- No illegal content or activity. Nothing that is unlawful where you are or where The Tribe operates, including violent extremism, incitement, or the sale of illegal goods.
- Post only what you have the right to. Respect copyright and intellectual property. Share your own work, or content you’re permitted to share.
How we enforce this: openly
Moderation on The Tribe is meant to be transparent, not silent. When a moderator removes a post they notify the author with the reason and the rule that applied, the removed content is shown as a tombstone rather than vanishing, and every action is recorded in an append-only, per-community moderation log. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to suspension or removal from The Tribe. Illegal content is preserved and reported where the law requires.
If you think we got it wrong: appeal
If your content was removed and you disagree, you can file an appeal from the notice you receive. A moderator reviews it and either upholds the decision or overturns it and restores your content. That outcome is logged too. We would rather be corrected than be unaccountable.
