Worried about work? You are not the only one.
If work feels uncertain right now, whether it is job insecurity, redundancy, being out of work, the fear that AI might change what you do, or the money that rides on all of it, you are not being dramatic and you are not alone. Worry about work is one of the most common feelings there is. This page has free, private tools to steady the next hour, and a place to belong for the longer road.
Worry about work and money is widely shared, not a personal failing.
When work feels shaky, it helps to know how many people are carrying the same weight. Three honest figures, each one sourced and dated:

A worksheet can steady a bad evening. It cannot sit with you week after week, put in a good word, or remind you what you are worth when a long job search wears you down. That is what The Tribe is for: a place to belong when work feels uncertain. Through the Careers door you can share what you are looking for, learn from people who have been made redundant and come back, and build the kind of network that quietly opens doors. Belong first. Everything else follows.
We are new, and we will not pretend otherwise or invent members to look busier than we are. We are not a recruiter and we do not place people in jobs. If you join now you are one of the first, and the people who show up now shape what this becomes. Free to join: membership later runs on trust, where Tribers contribute 1% of their income by their ability, never chased, with no payment to start, and nothing at all in a hard season.
Honest answers about work worry.
Is it normal to feel anxious about work?
Yes. Worry about work, whether it is job insecurity, redundancy, not being able to find a role, or the fear that AI or automation might change what you do, is one of the most common worries there is, and it grows in uncertain times. Feeling it does not mean you are weak or bad at your job. It usually eases when you separate what you can actually act on from what you cannot, take one small step, and do not carry it entirely alone.
What can I do about worry over work right now?
Start small and concrete. Name what is actually worrying you about work, then sort it into what you can control, what you can only influence, and what you must make peace with. Pick one thing from the control list and choose the smallest next step you could take this week, updating your CV, sending one message, or preparing one interview answer. The free tools on this page walk you through exactly that, privately, in a few minutes. Then, when you are ready, other people who have been through it are one of the strongest steadying forces there is.
Will AI take my job?
For most people the honest answer is that AI is more likely to change parts of a job than to erase it overnight, and the parts that are hardest to automate are the human ones, judgement, care, trust, and working well with others. Rather than guess, it helps to look at the durable strengths in what you already do and pick one small step to stay adaptable. Our free Future-Proof Your Career tool and the article Will AI take my job? walk through this calmly, without hype or doom.
Are these tools really free and private?
Yes. They are free, need no sign-up, and everything you type stays in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us, saved, or shared, and closing the page clears it. We would rather offer a genuinely private tool than ask you to hand over anything personal to use it.
Is The Tribe a recruiter or a careers service?
No, and we will be plain about that. We are not a recruitment agency, we do not place you in jobs, and these tools are gentle self-help prompts, not professional careers or financial advice. If money worry is overwhelming you, free debt advice is available, and if work stress is affecting your health, please talk to your doctor. What The Tribe offers is a place to belong and people who have walked the same road, alongside honest, practical tools.
How much does The Tribe cost?
Joining is free, with no payment to start and no pressure. The Tribe runs on a simple pledge given by ability: when a member is ready, being a Triber means contributing 1% of their income, in their own way, and no one is ever chased. A hard season, including being out of work, means you give nothing and stay a Triber. Access is the same whatever anyone gives.
This page is a gentle guide, not careers, financial, or medical advice. If money worry is overwhelming you, free debt advice is available in most countries. If work stress is affecting your health or daily life, please talk to your doctor or a local support line. In an emergency, or if you feel unable to keep yourself safe, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line right away.
