The Tribe
For charities & community groups

You already do the hard work of ending loneliness. We would like to help, quietly.

The Tribe can give the people you support a free, ad-free space to stay connected between your sessions, meetings and events. No ads. No selling anyone's data.

We should say this plainly, since you'll be able to tell anyway: The Tribe is new and small. We are building this with our first partners, not announcing a finished program. If that sounds like something worth a conversation, we'd like to hear from you.

Why we're asking

The Tribe exists to fight loneliness and build belonging, the same mission a lot of you have carried for years, usually with far less funding than the problem deserves. We are not trying to compete with that work. We built a place, and we think it could be useful to the people you already serve.

Built on trust, not ads

The Tribe runs on members contributing 1% of their income, by their ability, never chased. There are no ads and nothing here depends on selling attention.

We don't sell data

We don't sell member data to anyone, for any reason. That's not a slogan, it's just how the thing is built.

We're not asking you to switch

We're not asking anyone to replace what already works. This is an extra room people can use between the things you already run.

What we can offer your community, today

These are the real tools that exist right now on The Tribe, not a roadmap. Anything we set up with you would be on your terms and to your standards.

  • A free, ad-free group space

A place your community can gather online between meetups, with no ads and nothing sold to them once they're there.

  • Public or private, members-only

You choose whether the group is open to browse or private, so only the people you support can see or join it.

  • Discussion threads

Somewhere ongoing to ask a question, share a thought, or just say hello, not a one-off announcement feed.

  • Events with RSVPs

Post a coffee morning, a shed session, or a call for volunteers, and let people say they're coming.

  • Member privacy controls

People decide what they share and with whom. Nothing is sold, and there's no charge to any of it.

Some ideas, offered, not decided

We don't know yet what would actually help your community best, you do. These are starting points for a conversation, nothing more.

Point people toward you

We can be a free space that points members toward your services, your helplines, and your events, wherever that's useful.

A plain guide, made together

A short, honest guide to using the space, written with you, in language that fits the people you support.

A private group for your people

A members-only room for the community you already serve, set up however you'd want it run.

The gap between meetups

Something like a Men's Sheds group often runs weekly. The days in between are where loneliness lives. A quiet online room can sit in that gap.

We are just beginning

The Tribe does not have existing partnerships to point to yet, and we won't pretend otherwise. We would rather earn your trust slowly and honestly than claim endorsements we haven't earned. If you decide to work with us, we would only ever describe that partnership the way you're comfortable describing it, and never suggest support from you that isn't real.

If this feels like a fit, we'd welcome the chance to be one of your first partners, and to shape this together rather than hand you something finished.

Have a conversation with us

No pressure, no pitch deck. Tell us about your community and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't do.
